If you visited the Richland County Public Library lately, you may have noticed a few enhancements.
For starters, the library is now known as “The Richland Library.”
The library unveiled its new community-driven rebranding campaign to the public on Monday. The new brand included changes to the library’s name, logo and customer service practices.
Implementation of the brand will include a quality, personalized experience that exceeds library customers’ expectations.
“Our library is a contemporary, vibrant organization, valued and supported by our community, “said Executive Director Melanie Huggins. “Our brand will help marry the library’s visual identity with its long-standing tradition of providing access to information, new ideas, different opinions, knowledge and learning opportunities.”
Customers will now have access to enhanced digital services and resources like a new user-friendly website, self-service Job Center Kiosk and timely, community –driven programming for all ages.
The new campaign was designed around community feedback and built as a collaboration between library staff and Columbia-based agency ADCO.
Now through March 1, customers can exchange their current library card for one of three new designs, which represent the various ways Richland County residents utilize the library’s resources.
