Photo Gallery | Five "known gang members" indicted by State Grand Jury
Five men, all identified as gang members by the Richland County Sheriff's Department, have been arrested and indicted by the State Grand Jury for various crimes.
Shawn Bethea, 23; Jeffrey Curry Prescott, 22; Kerry Taylor, 19; and Marvin McCoy, 23, have all been indicted on four counts of armed roberry, three counts of possession of a weapons during the commission of a violent crime while being members of a criminal street gang.
The fifth man, Catrell Davis, 22, has been charged with attempted murder while a member of a criminal street gang.
Investigators say Bethea, Prescott, Taylor, and McCoy robbed an a man servicing an ATM on Bush River Road last summer.
Authorities say Davis fired multiple shots an an unnamed victim during an incident back in November 2012.
Bethea, Prescott, Taylor, McCoy, and Davis were taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
McCoy is currently out on $30,000 bond, but he is under house arrest and must wear a GPS monitoring device under the order of a judge.
