An Albert's Deli employee had quite a shock when arriving to work early Friday morning.
Richland County deputies said two men were in the process of stealing equipment and parts when the employee arrived to the business at 7358 Parklane Road around 6:30 a.m.
Sheriff Leon Lott said the men responsible for the theft are Larry Hudson, 63, and Frank Johnson, 47.
Hudson and Johnson are accused of stealing three Arcoaire Air Conditioning Units, one walk-in freezer condenser, and one walk-in cooler condenser with an estimated total value of $20,000.
Investigators say the victim arrived at the business and after hearing noises coming from the rear of the building, observed Hudson and Johnson stealing the air conditioning units. The suspects were loading the stolen merchandise in to an orange, older model Ford pickup truck, deputies said.
Investigators were able to identify Hudson and Johnson through a tip from the community, Lott said.
Hudson was arrested Tuesday. Johnson is still wanted.
Lott is hoping the release of photos of the men and a cell phone image of the truck they were allegedly using will lead to their arrest and the recovery of the stolen equipment and parts.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Johnson, or information about the theft is urged to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
