Deputies arrested three men and are looking for two more following a nightclub shooting that happened in April.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department arrested Javonta “Vonta” Wells for criminal sexual conduct with a minor and aggravated breach of peace, Pierre “Stacks” Wilson for aggravated breach of peace, and Marcus “Fella” Crump for aggravated breach of peace.
Deputies are requesting the community’s assistance in locating, Rashawn “Shawn” Lloyd wanted for aggravated breach of peace, and Shuron Malone wanted for aggravated breach of peace.
The report said just before 11:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5 officers responded to a verbal altercation that turned physical at Next in Line Event Hall at 6108 Two Notch Road.
Deputies say they responded to fight that began inside the business then spilled outside.
Once outside, gunshots were fired by multiple people in the parking lot and individuals in attendance at the party began fleeing the area on foot and in vehicles, the report stated.
Two of the suspects were transported, by personal vehicles, to Palmetto Health Richland Hospital with gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the two men, who were shot, have been uncooperative with investigators and may be connected to gang activity. Sheriff Leon Lott stated that this appears to be an ongoing feud between those in attendance at the party.
Sheriff Leon Lott continues to work diligently to rid Richland County of any gang activity of affiliation – since establishing the Richland County Gang Task Force in 2007, gang activity is on a decline but there’s still a lot of work to do to eradicate its presence in South Carolina. The Richland County Gang Task Force continues to make its presence felt wherever there is gang activity.
