Columbia Police located a man accused of making methamphetamine and possessing heroin hiding in his closet.
According to police, 36-year-old Jerry Ward Galloway was arrested on Wednesday and is expected to be charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin and manufacturing methamphetamine.
Officers with CPD's Pro-Active Community Enforcement Team (PACE) responded to a citizen complaint about a wanted individual at 3012 Lincoln Street.
Police say when officers arrived, they were given verbal consent to enter and search the home. Once inside, they found Galloway hiding in a closet.
Officers searched the rest of the home and located a small amount of methamphetamine and heroin, the report stated.
The heroin has an estimated street value of $260.
Police say they previously charged Galloway with manufacturing meth and have plans to ask for a bond revocation for the suspect.
