The Richland County Sheriff''s Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for three counts of armed robbery.
According to the report, on three different occasions the suspect entered businesses armed with a gun, stole money and then fled the scene on foot.
After viewing surveillance video from the incident locations, Richland County Sheriff’s Department Investigators believe he is the same suspect involved in all three crimes.
• Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at just before 10:00 AM at 7309 Parklane Road (First Citizens Bank), the suspect enters the bank, presents a handgun and demands money then fled the bank.
• Monday, April 8, 2013 at just before 3:30 AM at 8208 Two Notch Road (Waffle House), the suspect entered the business and placed an order for some food, he then went to the bathroom and returned at which time he presented a gun and stole the money from the cash register then fled the business.
• Saturday, April 6, 2013 at just after 1:00 PM at 2932 Alpine Road (Simba Express), the suspect entered the business and picked up an item which he pretended to buy and brought it to the register, at which time he presented a handgun and demanded money – the suspect then fled the business on foot.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his twenties, 5’8’- 6’0” tall, wearing a black jacket, black pants, black t-shirt, and a white USC baseball cap. Suspect was also seen carrying two back packs and was dressed the same in all three robberies.
