Glory Communications Inc. (WFMV/95.3FM & WGCV/620AM in Columbia) announces Familyfest 2012! South Carolina’s longest running and largest Gospel Music Celebration  will happen at 4pm, Sunday May 27th inside Columbia’s beautiful Finlay Park.

More than 35,000 gospel music fans are expected in the Capitol City for the annual ‘free’ concert and festival featuring national recording artists; many of the Midland’s most popular church and community choirs; an enormous food court with vendors offering  hotdogs to fresh fried fish while you watch; plus, an entire schedule of activities for children in the popular ‘Kids Korner’!

The concert headliners for Familyfest 2012 include two of gospel’s most recognized singer/songwriters John P. Kee and Myron Butler!

Again this year, Familyfest 2012 provides the setting for the presentation of Future Leader Scholarships! This joint community service project of churches, corporate sponsors and businesses from around the state uses the network of Glory Communications radio stations to identify students in need of scholarship dollars, raise funds for scholarship awards and increase community awareness of the need to support higher education.

Since 1998, the Future Leader Scholarship has assisted 81 college-bound students and awarded $124,000 in scholarship awards- all  through individual giving, donations from churches and support from our corporate sponsors.
