South Carolina baseball lands top recruiting class

South Carolina baseball has landed the top recruiting class in the country as announced by Collegiate Baseball on Tuesday.  The Gamecock newcomers include seven players that have been drafted as well as several standouts from both the high school and junior college ranks.

USC to hold pep rally ahead of Navy game

South Carolina will hold a Football Pep Rally on the Horseshoe on Friday.  The event is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. with head coach Steve Spurrier and the football team set to attend. 

Coach Spurrier will address the crowd with the USC Marching Band, Cheer Squad and Cocky also in attendance. 

The Gamecocks (2-0) host Navy (2-0) on Saturday in the home opener at Williams-Brice Stadium.

Tickets for three University of South Carolina football games are considered sold out, the Gamecock Athletics Ticket Office announced Tuesday.

Fans wishing to buy tickets and sit together for the games against Auburn (Oct. 1), Florida (Nov. 12) or Clemson (Nov. 26) would need to purchase a season ticket package, which remains on sale through the Gamecock Club.
