Museum hosts contest for class to see Secrets of the Maya | Schools

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The South Carolina State Museum is offering a South Carolina school class a chance to see the Secrets of the Maya exhibit for free. The museum is hosting an online contest to determine the winner.
Teachers who would like to sign thier classes up for the contest can go to the museum's Facebook page for an entry form. Teachers can enter their classes from January 16 to February 6.
Visitors to the museum's Facebook page can vote on the class they would like to see get the free field trip. Voting runs from February 27th through March 8th.
The winning class will get free admission to the exhibit and expenses paid for bus travel.
The Secrets of the Maya exhibit includes more than 125 artifacts dating to 250 A.D., photos, reproductions of stone carvings, and artifacts made by the Maya people who survive today to paint a clearer portrait than has previously been seen of this historically mysterious culture.
Secrets of the Maya is open to the public in the State Museum’s Blockbuster Gallery through June 9.
