Couple wins $100K on stop to change a diaper

An Orangeburg couple has a great story to tell their daughter when she’s older.  It was her dirty diaper that helped win the family $100,000 in the lottery.

The family was traveling Interstate 26 over the weekend when they had to exit to change her diaper.  They pulled in at the 7-Eleven on Piney Grove Rd. in Columbia and before getting back on the Interstate, the mother ran in to the store to get her husband a ticket to scratch.

“It put a smile on my face,” he said seeing the $100,000 printed on the ticket.

The South Carolina State Museum has received a large collection of these iconic electronics, along with another type of radio that once gathered music and information from around the world – the short wave.

DMV wait times available online

STATEWIDE (WIS)- As summer approaches, so does the potential for a trip to a local Department of Motor Vehicles office for a new drivers license or other needed services.

The DMV late last year optimized its website to display average wait times for 67 offices statewide. The move came in conjunction with a queue system upgrade in its offices, which includes greeters and television screens inside waiting rooms that help improve flow.
