Police seek masked man who robbed pharmacy | News

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS)- Police are looking for an armed man who robbed a Columbia pharmacy Monday night.

Police Chief Randy Scott hopes somebody recognizes the suspect in surveillance pictures released late Tuesday afternoon.
The man is
accused of robbing the Rite Aid store located at the intersection of Broad River Road and Bush River Road.
Police say the suspect walked up to the pharmacy counter around 6 p.m. and demanded several
controlled substances from the pharmacist.
Witnesses
tell police that the man lifted his sweatshirt to show what appeared to be a
handgun tucked in his waistband.
Police said the
pharmacist complied with the robber. Nobody was hurt.
The suspect is
described as a white male, who was last seen wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt with the
words "Appalachian State" embroidered in yellow or gold on the front, blue
jeans, clear latex gloves, a light-colored baseball cap, and a surgical mask
partially covering his face.
