The City of Columbia recognizes Andy’s Deli as the 1st Quarter 2013 Business Spotlight Honoree.
Mr. Andy Shlon, of Andy’s Deli, was recognized in recognition of being a long standing business icon, continuously providing excellent customer service to their patrons, and for generous giving to the community.
Andy’s Deli opened on August 28, 1978 and has been a mainstay of the Five Points area for 35 years. Andy’s is a local icon and is a favored destination to both families and students. The walls of the restaurant are adorned with decades of Gamecock memorabilia and the pictures of the successive generations of family members who continue to frequent the deli.
While the success of Andy’s Deli is certainly attributable to the good food, it is Mr. Shlon’s unwavering commitment to providing excellent customer service that keep people coming back for more. Online searches to restaurant review sites such as Yelp, where Andy’s is rated at 4.5 out of 5 stars, provide testimonial to the friendliness and hospitality of Andy and his staff.
