The City of Columbia Animal Shelter to Offer Special Prices for Adoption | News

In an effort to help place more shelter pets into new homes this holiday season, the City of Columbia Animal Shelter will be offering special prices for adoption. All adult cats (1 year or older) will be available for adoption at half price ($34.00).  Though many citizens would like to adopt a kitten for family or friends, not that many kittens available this time of year. The shelter is however full of wonderful adult cats.

"Who doesn't love a kitten, but adult cats are just as awesome," says Marli Drum, Superintendent of Columbia Animal Services. "You actually get a little more insight into what their personalities are going to be like and get this cool little creature who's loving the attention and  enjoying the chance to hang out with you."

All cats are already spay/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and tested negative for feline leukemia/aids.

The City of Columbia Animal Shelter will be closed on closed December 24, 2012 and December 25, 2012.
