Deputies make additional arrest in 6-year-old murder | News

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS)- Richland County Sheriff's Department's Cold Case Unit has made another arrest in a 6-year-old homicide case.

Sheriff Leon Lott announced Tuesday the arrest of 32-year-old Alfred "Domenick" Wright.

Lott says Wright along with 23-year-old Christopher Trice and 23-year-old Tomasina Miller killed Joseph Richardson in 2006.

Deputies charged Wright with burglary, attempted armed robbery, conspiracy and murder.

In June of 2012, Trice and Miller were arrested and charged with murder, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of kidnapping, and burglary.

Back on Nov. 16, 2006, deputies responded to a medical call at a home on Garners Ferry Road and found Joseph Richardson unresponsive with injuries to the upper body. EMS responded and pronounced Richardson dead at the scene from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Based on tips and investigative work, deputies identified Wright, Trice, and Miller as the suspects in this case.

Trice and Miller were also identified as suspects in an armed robbery at a Dollar General store on West Beltline Boulevard just weeks before Richardson's murder.

Lott said additional arrests are forthcoming as investigators follow up on significant leads.
