Subcommittee kills bill for USC, Clemson football
The subcommittee says “no” to a proposed bill that would mandate the annual Clemson versus South Carolina football game.
According to Rep. Nathan Ballentine, the subcommittee met Wednesday morning to see if the proposed bill would be approved, but before the bill advanced to the full committee, the subcommittee had voted it down.
According to the proposed bill, the two teams would play each other on a home and home basis.
Lexington County lawmaker, Rep. Nathan Ballentine proposed the bill in an effort to continue the University of South Carolina and Clemson football rivalry.
