The SC Beef Council in cooperation with the SC Department of Agriculture is hosting Build a Burger Day on Saturday, August 18 at the State Farmers Market, 3483 Charleston Hwy. in West Columbia. Market visitors and families getting ready for the start of the new school year are invited to enjoy a free beef burger from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Benedict College Hosts 5th Annual Community Event

Benedict College Service-Learning and Leadership Development Program will host its 5th Annual “Strengthening Our Neighborhood Community Day” event on Saturday, August 18, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Benedict College Community Park, 2326 Laurel Street, Columbia, South Carolina.

This free event will bring together hundreds of local school-age children and their parents for a day filled with education, recreation, and entertainment.
