Sign-Up For The Resurrection Run And Walk On March 30th | Events

The 12th Annual Resurrection Run/Walk 5K is the most historic event that will take place in Columbia, SC, on Saturday, March 30, 2013.

This is an event to help raise funds to help widows a seemingly overlooked community of women. It is part of the Tour de Columbia and is a certified USATAF Event. While raising funds for widows, a seemingly forgotten community. This event commemorates the run and walk Mary, John, Peter and others made to and from the empty tomb of Jesus Christ on Resurrection Day.

The flat and fast course takes runners and walkers through a residential community beginning at Country Club Drive, to Spring Lake Road, then on to Lakeshore Drive, ending behind Forest Lake Place on Forest Drive. The course goes completely around Forest Acres Country Club. 

A new category has been added: a special ministry competition. The ministry with the largest representation will receive the 2013 Resurrection Run Plaque. Area churches are asked to help support the event by announcing it, posting on bulletin boards, or publishing in church bulletins. Registration is $25 until the day of the race, $30 – Day of race fee. Late registration will begin at 7:00 a.m., on Sat. April 23, behind First Citizens Bank, 4801 Forest Drive in Columbia, SC.
