Benedict College’s School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics will host its Ninth Annual Xtreme Technology Event on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event will take place in Alumni Hall and in the Benjamin E. Mays Human Resources Center Arena on the College’s campus.

The Ninth Annual Xtreme Technology Event, sponsored by the National Nuclear Security Agency, FN Manufacturing, Domtar, Michelin, Dominos Pizza and Benedict College, will feature nearly 200 high school students from both North and South Carolina.

Participating schools include A.C. Flora, C.A. Johnson, Columbia High, Eau Claire, Kingstree Senior, Lower Richland, Marlboro County, Ridge View, WJ Keenan, Darlington County, G. Frank Russell Career Center, Victory Christian Center, and Woodland High School. The students will be teamed in groups of six to compete in the following disciplines: biology, chemistry, environmental health science and environmental engineering, mathematics, computer science, transportation engineering, physics, and engineering. They will have an opportunity to win trophies and high tech prizes including the Apple IPADs.
