DHEC director speaking at water quality meeting | Environment

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - The director of South Carolina's environmental agency is scheduled to speak at a meeting focusing on water quality. Department of Health and Environmental Control director Catherine Templeton is slated to speak Thursday at the quarterly meeting of the S.C. Water Quality Association in Columbia. 

The meeting will be held at Seawell's, located at 1125 Rosewood Drive in Columbia at 11 a.m.

On its website, the association says it is a statewide group of owners and operators of publicly owned treatment facilities that aims to ensure that the state's water quality programs are based on sound science and regulatory policy. (Copyright 2013 The Associated Press.
