Deputies: Man arrested in connection to 3 car break-ins | Crime
Lexington County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested a Columbia man on charges that the man unlawfully entered three motor vehicles, with the intention of theft, that had been left unlocked outside an apartment complex on Berryhill Road, near Columbia on Monday, December 10.
Deputies arrested 22-year-old Keenan Erskine Sullivan on arrest warrants on three counts of breaking into a motor vehicle.
An arrest warrant alleges that early Monday morning Sullivan unlawfully entered an unlocked 2004 Chevrolet Malibu that was parked outside an apartment building on Berryhill Road.
An arrest warrant also alleges that Woods unlawfully entered an unlocked 1998 Buick that was parked outside the same apartment building on Berryhill Road.
An arrest warrant also alleges that Woods unlawfully entered an unlocked 1989 Nissan pickup truck that was parked outside the same apartment building on Berryhill Road.
Deputies say a resident of the apartment complex witnessed Sullivan rummaging through vehicles and contacted the Sheriff’s Department.
Officers arrived at approximately 4:20 a.m. to find Sullivan inside the 2004 Chevy Malibu, looking for items to steal, the report stated.
Deputies arrested Sullivan without incident.
Sullivan was being held on Monday at the Lexington County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing.
