Let’s Move- Kids Day Columbia Brings Family Fun to Finlay Park | Community Spirit
Grab the family and head on out to Finlay Park on Saturday, March 23, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for City of Columbia Parks and Recreation’s annual Let’s Move - Kids Day Columbia.
This event, part of the City’s “Let’s Move” initiative, is the perfect opportunity for the entire family to enjoy a day of fun and wellness. Get moving inside of our interactive family fun zone. Come and enjoy amusement rides, a petting zoo, pony rides and carnival games. There will be karaoke, arts and crafts, food vendors and exhibitors on hand. Come make funny with the clowns or hang out with Dora, Barney and everyone’s favorite, Sponge Bob.
And, there’s more! Join us for a lineup of live shows. Columbia Children’s Theatre will present the stage play “Pinocchio.” There will be a fire and ice show by mad science, magic show with Avrian Gagnon and live entertainment as the “Young and Gifted” talent competition hits the stage for finals.
Even the ducks will be moving as Parks and Recreation presents a Duck Race to benefit Creative Journey, a wounded warrior art program. The race will begin at 3 p.m. Participants can purchase ducks in advance or on the day of the event.
Let’s Move – Kids Day Columbia is a free event and is open to the public.
