Mayor to host discussion on Race Relations | Community Spirit

Mayor Steve Benjamin and esteemed panelists will talk candidly about the race relation challenges presented in this year’s One Book, One Columbia selection, The Dry Grass of August and how they impact our community on Thursday, February 21.

The discussion will be held at Richland Library, 1431 Assembly St, from 6-7 p.m. Guests include moderator Brad Warthen, and panelists Dr. R. Blakeslee Gilpin, Valerie Rowe-Jackson and more.

The Town Hall discussion is an effort to help facilitate important community conversations between Midlands area residents.
