Call for Cooks: Palladium Society’s Chili Cook-Off Celebrates Its 15th Anniversary | Community Spirit
Do you make a mean bowl of “Famously Hot” chili? Historic Columbia Foundation’s Palladium Society is looking for cooks for this year’s 15th Annual Chili Cook-Off, held Saturday, February 23 at the State Fairgrounds.
Chili Cook-Off Cooks are invited to share their chili recipes with more than 500 of Columbia’s finest chili-tasters from 5 pm to 8 pm on Saturday, February 23 in the Ellison Building at the State Fairgrounds. The deadline for chili cook-off contestants to enter is Feb. 19. The entry fee is $20 and covers one chili entry, plus two tickets (cook and one guest – a value of $50) for this famously hot event. This annual event is hosted by The Palladium Society of Historic Columbia Foundation and features a variety of chili recipes, judging by local celebrities, live music by Whiskey Tango Revue and prizes for the winners.
"The Palladium Society is excited to celebrate the 15th anniversary of this lively event," said Cleve Walker, president of Historic Columbia's Palladium Society. "The Cook-Off is one of the largest fundraisers for the Foundation and we hope Columbia’s finest cooks and taste testers will all join us for this year’s party."
This year is the 15th anniversary of the Palladium Society’s Chili Cook-Off, held from 5 pm to 8 pm on Saturday, February 23 at the Ellison Building at the State Fairgrounds. Tickets are $15 for Palladium Society Members, $20 for Historic Columbia Foundation members and $25 for the general public. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at HCFChili2013.eventbrite.com. Ticket price includes all you can eat and drink chili, wine and beer. All proceeds from this event benefit Historic Columbia Foundation.
