E.S.C.A.P.E: Police offering child safety classes
The Columbia Police Department is offering a self-defense class for children between 5 and 12-years-old.
The E.S.C.A.P.E is a new program designed to educate parents and children on how to stay safe and recognize potential abduction, assault and safety dangers.
The free class will be lead by experienced law enforcement personnel and martial arts instructors.
The first class is set for October 27th at Hyatt Park from 10 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
