City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Makes Memorial Weekend Splash | Community Spirit
City of Columbia Parks and Recreation will kick off the summer season of swim by opening the Drew Park Splash Pad and Greenview Pool to the public during the Memorial Day weekend.
The Splash Pad, located at 2101 Walker Solomon Way, will open on Saturday, May 26th from 12 p. m. to 8 p. m.
Greenview Pool, 6700 David Street, will also open on Saturday, May 26th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
City of Columbia Parks and Recreation will be minus one outdoor pool this Summer as Maxcy Gregg is closed due to a leaking liner and is currently being overhauled. The new pool will open in May of 2013.
Charles R. Drew Wellness Center’s year-round indoor pool will also be open for the Memorial Day Weekend with open swim from 11 a. m. to 6 p. m. on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p. m. to 6 p. m.
Both Greenview and Drew pools are offering Summer swim lessons to the public beginning in June. Both facilities also have swim team memberships available.
