The Auntie Karen Foundation present 10th annual Legends of Concert | Arts & Culture

The Auntie Karen Foundation will present its 10th annual  Legends of Concert at the Koger Center for the Arts (USC)  in Columbia, S.C. on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 8 p.m.  The concert will feature seven time Grammy award winning vocalist, Gladys Knight.

Ms. Knight will also present a Master Class for local students on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2012 at C.A. Johnson Preparatory Academy (a Richland One school). The class is designed for students from elementary school to college. Student sponsorships are available and can be purchased through the foundation at (803) 748-7124 or akfoundation@aol.com.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit the programs of the Auntie Karen Foundation. Tickets are: $125 for Orchestra and Reception (AKF VIP Package available through the foundation); $100 for Orchestra level seating; $75 and $85 for Grand Tier seating; and $55 for Balcony seating.  There are a limited number of discounted student, AARP or group tickets (10 or more) for $80 and $70 (Grand Tier) and $50 (balcony). Tickets are available by calling (803) 251-2222; in person at the Koger Center Box Office (corner of Greene and Park streets) or online at www.CapitolTickets.com.  For sponsor information, please contact the foundation at (803) 748-7124 or an AKF Legends of Committee member.

As in the past, the AKF will host a master class, which gives middle through college students an opportunity to learn directly from the featured artist. This year Richland One Students will have an accompanying curriculum on Gladys Knight prior to the Master Class. Advance registration is required to attend the Master Class.
